How to make Valentine’s Day Chocolate Chip M&M Oreo Cookies:
Here’s the ingredients you’ll need (the quantities are below with the full recipe):
- Butter: unsalted, and it needs to be cold and whipped up before adding in the sugars
- Granulated Sugar
- Brown Sugar
- Vanilla: I prefer Mexican vanilla, but use whatever you love
- Eggs: Cold
- Flour: all purpose and measured correctly
- salt
- baking soda
- baking powder
- cornstarch
- M&Ms
- Oreos
- chocolate chips
The directions are listed below with the instructions – including a quick video that shows how it all comes together.

Helpful tips:
I like to press on some chocolate chips, RIGHT after the cookies have been baked. You can press them on before baking, too, if you’d like, but I love to do it right after when the cookie are warm and it gets all melty on top.
You can also press the toppings onto the cookie dough before baking!

Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies
What makes them so perfect? Ideally, they have a golden-brown exterior that gives way to a soft, slightly under-baked middle, making every bite an indulgent experience. The dough should be infused with a buttery aroma and a hint of vanilla, complementing the rich chocolate flavor. Achieving this perfection often involves chilling the dough before baking, allowing flavors to meld and intensify, but with this recipe, there’s no chilling required!
Yep – NO chilling for this one! Just make em, and bake em!

Here’s a quick video of the process:

I can’t wait for you to try these – they are absolute cookie perfection and we can’t stop coming back to making another batch of them!
Happy baking!
xo, Mandy

Ingredients
- 1 cup (or 2 sticks) unsalted butter, cold
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla
- 2 large eggs, cold
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 cup M&Ms, Valentine's Day Variety
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup crushed Oreos
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and prep a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, whip up the butter until it's light and fluffy. Add in the sugars and cream together for 2 minutes.
- Add in the vanilla and eggs and whip up again. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
- In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Add in the dry ingredients into the stand mixer and mix together until it barely comes together. Add in the chocolate chips, M&Ms, and oreo bits (reserve a few to press on the cookies). *You can press the chips on the cookies before or after baking. It's not essential but makes them look pretty! 🙂
- Scoop the dough into cookie dough balls (I used a 2 T scoop). Space the cookies about 3 inches apart on the baking sheet, and bake for 8-9 minutes until just barely baked through. Let cool on a baking rack. Enjoy!
